I used the opportunity of working from home and having much more spare time to take my niece on days out to the park, for walks and playing – but I also used this opportunity to reflect on the beauty of nature and the gifts we have been given by Allah.
Slowly, this became habit, and I felt uneasy unless I had been out on a walk. It gave me peaceful time to think, appreciate and be patient with what was going on around the world, as well as being reminded of my duty to the Earth and protection of the environment.
While I know I cannot control events, I know I can control how I act and respond to them and to other people’s obstacles. Walks around nature have allowed me to reflect completely and know that.
