Daniels diary - 2nd of February 2021
You will never believe it but something funny happened when I was walking Otis earlier. We were walking in the bluebell woods and Otis had to go on a lead to stop him from jumping in the water. Can you imagine it as soon as he was on the lead he ran away energetically and dragged me behind him in a state of terror.
I was yelling at him to stop but he just would not listen to me. Eventually I decided to let go of the lead and he ran towards the water's edge elated, but I called him back, and I gave him to mum, but Otis pulled again, and Mum was not as lucky as me and she fell over.
The mud was slippery, and she slid along on her bottom then rolled over. We were bewildered and flabbergasted how she could get so muddy.
Later today me and mum made a colossal chocolate cake. when it was cooking the smell was fresh and it tasted chocolatey. I am really looking forward to pancake day next week. In the lockdown I felt a bit lonely but going to the park made me feel cheerful and at ease.
